Dart supports veterans, drives The Wall That Heals

For over five years, Dart has been proud to help transport The Wall That Heals -- a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The traveling exhibit, created and sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, honors over three million Americans who served in the Vietnam War and lists the names of the 58,281 servicemembers who lost their lives.
The replica, carried on a 53-foot trailer, is used as a mobile education center with a timeline of the Vietnam War and information from the original memorial located in Washington D.C.
Over the summer, Dart Driver Ambassador Bernard ‘Bernie’ Gray picked up The Wall That Heals in Nahant, MA and brought it to Sanborn, NY. There, he waited for the next driver to pick it up and move it to its next location on tour.
“It’s like no soldier left behind,” Bernie, a veteran himself, said. “They gave up a lifetime, why can’t we give up at least an hour of time.”
Gray helped haul the wall in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
There is a comradery between truck drivers out on the road – much like the comradery servicemembers experience in the military, according to Dart employee Mike Roth. At Dart, we respect and celebrate our military personnel. Our CDL-A truck driver jobs offer the pay, home time and support our veterans are looking for.
We offer CDL-A truck drivers the newest equipment, 98% no-touch freight, full benefits and more. Visit work4dart.com to experience the Dart advantage. To hear more from Bernie Gray about The Wall That Heals, click here.
